SOCIAL PERFORMANCE ANALYST

ORGANIZATION'S PREAMBLE:
The MIX (Microfinance Information eXchange) is a global information service for the microfinance outfits. Its main mission is to help build microfinance market infrastructure. The MIX intends to address one of the key challenges of the microfinance industry: which is the lack of reliable, comparable and publicly available information on the financial strength and performance of MFIs, which underpins the development of the market for microfinance services.
DETAILS:
MIX is looking for a Social Performance Analyst to work from its office in Hyderabad, India. She/he will provide assistance on training, analysis and deployment of social performance standard indicators.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with MIX Social Performance Manager to write social performance case-studies and analyze social performance data for regional reports;
Deliver social performance analysis training, presentations and workshops to MFIs, networks, and various stakeholders;
Be a knowledge-point for MIX regional offices for social performance data reporting;
Coordinate operations of social performance reporting across MIX’s global analyst team, including work planning, operations and systems support, and review of final data;
Develop analysis tools and supports related to analyzing social performance data for use by MIX analyst team and partners;
Maintain in-depth knowledge of latest industry developments related to microfinance, social performance management and poverty measurement across regions;
Collect, process, review and publish data on MFI social performance reporting.
ACCADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science Degree required in the area of international development, economics or finance;
Master’s Degree preferred;
Five or more years work experience in no profit sector/ banking or investment, of which at least two years in microfinance;
Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis;
Experience with project management;
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
Other languages (non Indian) are a plus.
