ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT MANAGER – LONDON

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Deloitte is currently recruiting an Assistant Manager for its Accounting & Payroll Solutions (APS) group based in London. APS a specialist service line providing a range of niche finance-related outsourcing solutions as a strategic business tool for clients. Our services include financial outsourcingcovering record to report management and statutory reporting, and payroll outsourcing covering payroll processing and reporting.
QUALITIES OF THE CANDIDATE:
• Professional accounting qualification, recent ACCA/ACA
• Experience working with non-finance people
• Experience working in a dynamic, fast changing environment
• Experience working on cross-functional teams/projects
• Willingness to travel and work at client sites
• Awareness of the payroll and related compliance

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leading and managing assignments across a range of industries and countries
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Advising clients on accounting matters
• Managing and supporting the work of more junior team members
• Maintaining process documentation and continually improving internal and client processes
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting and statutory reporting standards covering IFRS/ UK GAAP/SOX compliance knowledge includingconsolidation
• Demonstrate awareness of European compliance legislation e.g. VAT, tax.
• Internal administration including billings and monitoring debtors
• Able to use accounting packages
• Advanced excel and word skills
• Intermediate power point skills
